WHO CAN BE A CONSUMER OF THE FREE ENERGY MARKET?

Special Consumer

Companies with a demand between 500 kW and 1,500 kW per unit, or the sum of its units under the same CNPJ, can choose to be a special consumer and purchase energy from small hydroelectric plants (SHPs) or from special incentive sources, such as wind and solar plants.

Free Consumer

Companies with contracted demand equal to or greater than 1,500 kW are free to choose to purchase energy from any source of generation, such as hydroelectric, wind, and solar plants. In this condition, the consumer can contract both conventional and incentive energy.
